According to the WHPD, the vehicle appears similar to a 2003-07 Toyota Highlander, gray/silver in color, with a noticeable dent in the front driver-side corner under the headlight.
The registration of the vehicle is unknown.
This incident is being actively investigated by the West Hartford Police Detective Division.
State Sen. Heather Somers, R-Groton, and state Sen. Paul Cicarella, R-North Haven, ranking senator on the public safety and security committee, issued a joint statement on the situation and hinted further legislative action might be necessary.
“In 2019, Sen. Somers led the passage of a bipartisan anti-voyeurism law. That law makes it clear that no photography or video recording of sensitive areas may occur under or around a person’s clothing — even in a public place. We must continue to review our anti-voyeurism laws to determine whether they need strengthening,” wrote Sommers and Cicarella.
“We must continue to fight to support anyone who is violated in this and other ways. No one should have to endure this invasion of privacy.”
