Family Of Slain West Hartford Teen Announces Funeral Plans, Details Revealed

The funeral for the 17-year-old Hall High School senior, who was shot on Sunday and died on Tuesday, is Thursday, Feb. 26.

WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — The family of a West Hartford teen shot and killed last weekend in Hartford will lay him to rest on Thursday.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the funeral for Camden Siegal is Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11 am, in the Emanuel Synagogue Sanctuary located at 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford.

Siegal was an honor roll student at Hall and had played soccer and lacrosse, according to a statement sent to WFSB.

According to WFSB, Siegal was out with friends in Hartford, and he was shot at about 1:49 a.m. while getting into an Uber for a ride home.

The shooting happened near multiple bars and nightclubs not far from the People's Bank Arena in Hartford, WFSB reported.

Hall High School Principal Sarah Isaacs addressed the Hall community regarding the tragedy, saying in a statement that Siegal's organs were donated to help other patients live.

Her full statement is as follows:

"It is with profound sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that Camden Siegal, a member of Hall’s Class of 2026, passed away today, Tuesday, February 24th. This loss is both devastating and deeply felt across our school community. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Camden’s family, friends, and all who loved him.

"As a school community, we hold Camden’s family in our hearts and wrap them in our collective care and compassion. As parents and caregivers, there is nothing that can truly prepare you for a tragedy like this. Please know that we are fully committed to supporting your children, our students, and one another, each and every day, as we navigate and process this grief together. Grief is not linear, and the days and weeks ahead may bring a range of emotions. We will walk alongside our students in whatever ways they need, for as long as they need.

"We will continue to provide support for students in multiple ways. Today, we offered an in-person support session at Hall High School in the Library Media Center, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Starting Wednesday, counseling support will be available during school hours in the Library Media Center beginning at 7:30 a.m., and will continue throughout the week. We will also begin Community on Wednesday with an announcement from Mrs. Isaacs and a moment to honor Camden.
