Farmington Resident Hits Powerball With Ticket Bought In WeHa
The winning ticket was purchased at a West Hartford supermarket on Monday, Jan. 29.
WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — A Farmington resident hit Powerball this week after purchasing a ticket at a West Hartford Supermarket — just not all the way.
Still, the ticket buyer who bought a ticket for the multi-state drawing game featuring massive jackpots isn't complaining.
According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the ticket purchased Monday, Jan. 29, at the Big Y World Class Market, 772 N. Main St., West Hartford, was still worth $100,000.

Though far short of the $188 million jackpot, this figure is probably still being welcomed with open wallets.
Powerball costs $2 to play, with additional $1 add-ons available to increase the odds, which are still 1 in 292,201,338 for the jackpot.

The odds of getting a $100,000 prize are also steep: 1 in 11,688,054.
