- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)- Required by most colleges and for all Federal programs
- The CSS/Profile form - (CSS = College Scholarship Service) - Required by hundreds of private colleges
- The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) - A family’s minimum annual out of pocket expense
- The Net Price Calculator - A family’s truer cost of college

Given all the press surrounding the college loan industry (including both student and parent loans), parents are encouraged to attend one of these forums, if they are planning to send children to college. With a better understanding of the financial aid system, parents will be able to help calculate their minimum costs, which will then assist in the budgeting process.
There have been too many tales of financial hardship relating to financing college. Parents and students must consider all avenues to fund college, if this is their desire. No longer all the loans fall into the laps of students, who are capped on the amount of money they can borrow, in absence of a loan co-signer.
Due to the new venue, with different dates available, parents are encouraged to reserve their spot for their desired night. Seats can be saved by calling (888)646-4066. West Hartford Town Hall is located at 50 South Main Street.
