Firefighters Rescue Kitten Stuck In Tree In West Hartford

'Yes... we really do that...,' fire officials said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Everyone can picture a firefighter rescuing a cat stuck in a tree, either from children’s books or movies, but in case you were wondering if firefighters actually do rescue cats from trees in real life… the answer is yes. West Hartford firefighters made such a rescue on Wednesday night during the passing storm.

“Engine 1 was at work during the passing storm,” fire officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Fire Fighter Paramedic Will Berghoff climbs a 24’ fire service ladder to rescue a kitten stuck in a tree. Yes... we really do that...”
