Police located the car and saw several items they suspected were purchased with the counterfeit money. The purchases were low-cost so they would be able to get a lot of money back as change, according to the Courant.
Brothers Jason Hayle, 20, Shawn Hayle, 21, both of Hartford, and Andrew Darien McLeod, 20, of Brooklyn, N.Y., were all arrested, along with the juvenile, in connection to the thefts.
