Four Major Additions Announced At Westfarms Mall

WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — One of the state's largest and busiest shopping malls Friday formally announced the opening or soon-to-be arrival of four diverse businesses under its roof.

The Westfarms Mall, located in Farmington/West Hartford, said four separate stores/restaurants are coming or have already recently arrived to the shopping destination.

They will offer everything from pizza to sneakers to yoga clothing and, even, lingerie.

The four additions are as follows, according Amanda Sirica of Farmington-based Sirica Marketing & Public Relations, which is representing the mall:

• Intimissimi, an Italian lingerie brand founded in 1996, is opening a 600-square-foot boutique in the mall's upper level this spring.

It specializes in bras, briefs, lingerie and pajamas for women and men and it would be the first such store to open in Connecticut.

• Alo Yoga is a "rapidly growing lifestyle brand of premium yoga attire," according to Sirica.
She said the retailer began construction on a new 5,500-square-foot location on the upper level of the center court and will open in the fall.

• Sneaker City, described as "an emerging brand dubbed as New York’s number one spot to shop sneakers and streetwear," is opening a 1,900-square-foot store in the mall this spring.

• And, finally, Pizza Hut, with its well-known menu of Italian food and pizza options, has already opened a fast-casual dining facility in the mall this week, according to Sirica.
This is the first location in West Hartford, she said.

These new mall developments come as already-announced initiatives are underway, including: a remodeling of the mall's H&M store; construction of a new Arhaus premium home furnishings store; and construction of a new, 125,000 square foot Jordan's Furniture store.

Both Arhaus and Jordan's, according to Sirica, are firsts for the Hartford market area.
