Free Easter Egg Hunt This Weekend At West Hartford Church
Instead of admission, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food for the West Hartford Food Pantry.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local church on Saturday is hosting a free Easter Egg hunt that promises to deliver both seasonal fun and a chance to help the less fortunate.
The Westminster Presbyterian Church, 280 Boulevard, West Hartford, will host its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m., inviting families from West Hartford and surrounding communities to attend the free event.
Organizers said the event will also serve a charitable purpose. Instead of an admission fee, attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations for the West Hartford Food Pantry.

The event will begin with snacks, crafts, face painting, and children’s activities, followed by a brief story time.
Children will then move to the church lawn for the egg hunt, where thousands of eggs will be scattered.
A visit from the Easter Bunny is also planned. In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be moved indoors.
“This is always such a special morning for our community,” said Karen Hammond, director of faith formation at Westminster Presbyterian Church. “It’s a little bit of chaos, a lot of laughter, and so many joyful moments for families to share together. We love seeing families return year after year to celebrate together.”
