Gas Leak Closes Road In West Hartford
Police say the road is expected to be closed through the evening commute.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — An overnight gas leak has closed Trout Brook Drive in West Hartford. Police say the road will remain closed through the evening commute on Thursday. Trout Brook Drive is closed to through traffic between Park Road and White Avenue.
While on patrol at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday, officers noticed an extremely strong odor of natural gas in the area of 700 Trout Brook Drive. Fire personnel and Connecticut Natural Gas responded and determined that there was a significant gas leak in the immediate area, according to police.
Trout Brook Drive was closed in both directions so that the repair could be made safely, police said. CT Transit and school bus companies were notified of the closure for the morning commute.
