Grease Robbers Target West Hartford Restaurant: Police
Used cooking oil is often a target of thieves who sell the greasy product to biofuel recyclers for money.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — It might not seem like something thieves would target, but one West Hartford restaurant last week was targeted by used cooking oil bandits.
The West Hartford Police Department is investigating the theft of old cooking oil at Soul Bowls, a soul food-style fast casual eatery at 1142 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
A large, outside container of used cooking oil was reported stolen last Wednesday, Feb. 26.
