Hall High School Swimmers Experience Success at Class L Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the sixth straight year, the Darien High School girls swimming team captured the Class L state championship Tuesday at the Southern Connecticut State University pool.

The Blue Wave compiled 729.5 points to outdistance runnerup Cheshire, which had 666.5.

Hall High School was paced by Tara Tiernan, who placed second in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Margaret Mantz was second and Aislinn Mitchell finished fourth in the 100 butterfly, while the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay teams each wound up sixth.
