Hall Holds Top 10 Ranking In Field Hockey Poll

WEST HARTFORD, CT — For the third straight week, Staples High School captured all eight first-place votes to unanimously lead the weekly poll of Connecticut field hockey coaches.

The Wreckers have overwhelmed opponents by a 66-3 scoring margin in their initial 10 victories. Wilton and Cheshire flip-flopped positions two and three.

Hall High School wound up seventh in the most recent balloting.

Here are the top 10, including last week's ranking, plus all other schools receiving votes.

5. Granby Memorial (lw: 5)
6. Darien (lw: 7)

Also receiving votes: Stonington, Pomperaug, Avon.
