Hall Vaults Into Top 5 of Latest Field Hockey Coaches Poll

WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the most dominating regular season records in Connecticut field hockey history led to two-time defending Class L champion Staples High School being named first on all eight ballots in the most recent weekly coaches poll.

The Wreckers concluded the schedule with a 16-0 record, outscoring opponents by a whopping 94-5 margin, to earn the top nod for the fourth straight week. Cheshire, which also finished 16-0 with a 63-1 scoring differential, maintained its spot in second position, while Granby moved up two places into third.

Unbeaten Hall, which has outscored opponents by a 56-3 margin, leaped from seventh to fourth in the most recent balloting.
