Update: I-84 Crash In West Hartford Cleared

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A crash that caused a traffic jam on Interstate 84 eastbound in West Hartford Thursday morning has now been cleared, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident near the highway's exit to Route 71 was cleared at about 8:46 a.m. Thursday, according to the DOT's Twitter feed.

DOT officials said the 2.1-mile traffic jam was between exits 39 and 40 on the interstate, with the crash happening at 7:40 a.m.

The crash had resulted in the left and center lanes being closed between exits 40 and 41, state officials said.

Delays were reported in Farmington as well.
