Update: I-84 Crash In West Hartford Cleared

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 eastbound in West Hartford was experiencing backups Tuesday morning after a reported multi-vehicle crash, but that accident is now cleared, according to the state Department of Transportation.

According to the DOT's Twitter feed, the crash was cleared up at 9:26 a.m. just before exit 41, which is the highway's intersection with Route 173.

DOT officials said the congestion was between exits 39 and 41, with traffic backed up some 2.3 miles.

As a result of the accident, initially reported at 8:24 a.m., the left lane was closed.
