I-84 Ramp Closures To Impact West Hartford
One on-ramp and one off-ramp to be closed at night intermittently starting Tuesday and lasting for the next six months.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Motorists are being warned by town and state officials to prepare for intermittent ramp closures at Interstate 84's eastbound Exit 40 off-ramp and Exit 41's on-ramp.
According to the state Department of Transportation Tuesday, the ramp closures will happen at night on an occasional basis starting Tuesday, July 5.
This will allow for necessary road work as part of a $54 million state project to be completed in those areas.

"The ramps will be closed intermittently, as necessary to allow for the installation of drainage, milling of existing pavement and the placement of new pavement with lane markings," wrote DOT officials in an announcement of the closures.
Exit 40 off-ramp closures impact motorists going from I-84 to New Britain Avenue (Route 71), while Exit 41's on-ramp closure impacts motorists going from South Main Street to I-84.
