"Inside-Out; Assemblages & Collages" Exhibit at Duncaster
A unique display of mixed media by West Hartford artist Margaret Plaganis will be showcased at the Duncaster Art Gallery during June.

A unique display of mixed media by West Hartford artists Margaret Plaganis will be showcased at the Duncaster Art Gallery during June. There will be an opening reception for the exhibit, called “Inside-Out; Assemblages & Collages”, on June 3 at 4:00 P.M. The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M until June 29.
The exhibit will include Plaganis’ quirky approach to mixed media in various forms. The exhibit will feature her “Ride the Raft to Shore,” a collage made up of bright colors and designs to create one image. She has produced artist-books, collages, wall hangings and sculptures. She has even created handmade books of poetry.
Plaganis is a visual artist, writer and educator. A Connecticut Master Teaching Artist, Plagnis piloted creative arts programs that forged strong links to visual arts and academic skills.

In the past, she has collaborated with museum programs, Very Special Arts CT and Yale School of Medicine in New Haven. The collaborations opened her path to special education and visual arts in Hartford Public Schools for sixteen years.
