Judge Denies Bail Reduction for Accused West Hartford Rapist
The man, who allegedly sexually assaulted the woman while installing DirecTV at her home, may have additional accusers: prosecutor.
A DirecTV sub-contractor accused of raping a West Hartford woman while at her home to install the service was denied bail reduction on Tuesday and the prosecutor told a Superior Court judge that the man may have additional accusers, according to the Hartford Courant.
Rashford Gordon, 38, of 7 Larensen Ridge in Bloomfield, was arrested in March after West Hartford police located him at his next TV install appointment in Hartford, after allegedly sexually assaulting the West Hartford woman earlier in the day.
The victim told police at the time that Gordon made advances before eventually committing the sexual assault.

The Courant reports that West Hartford police have interviewed a woman who told detectives that Gordon made sexually inappropriate comments to her while he was installing DirecTV at her home on March 3, the day before the alleged West Hartford sexual assault.
Gordon’s attorney had requested that his bail be reduced from $750,000 to $450,000, an amount his family could post, according to the Courant.
