The November “Listening Space” opened with Al and Libby “Ad-Lib” Therriault, our favorite “regulars,” and their lively guitar/mandolin duets. The very versatile Eric Paradine returned, singing solo, jamming with Steve Prout on fiddle, and backing Jami VanDerMeid and Chad—the “Enfield Idol”—on some sultry blues. The evening soared with the surprise appearance of Kate Callahan and her “Echo Joy” band mates, Alli Fox and Kaia Pazdersky. Bill Anderson (aka "The Boston Oboist") was back with his poignant ballads; Taryn Elise performed some heartwarming covers. Thomas Esposito, who kicked-off our season in January, joined his sister-in-law Genesis, his niece Tianna, and daughter Sabrina, rapping for Jesus, while Steve Kowal sang more of his compelling Christian covers and Dan Giungi debuted with some very cool guitar work.
The next "Listening Space" is Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Covenant Congregational Church, 1 Westminster Dr., West Hartford, CT 06107. Sign-up at 6:30pm; the music starts at 7:00.
