WH Library Hosting Two Separate Pumpkin-Painting Sessions This Week

One event is Tuesday for older kids, while younger children will paint pumpkins on Thursday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Halloween is next week and local youths are invited to special pumpkin painting programs at the West Hartford Public Library's branches this week.

On Tuesday, the library is hosting a program for fifth- through seventh-graders starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m. at the Bishops Corner branch.

The Bishops Corner site is located at 15 Starkel Road.

Event attendees are asked to "dress for a mess," according to an online announcement of the program.

According to the library Monday afternoon, there were still about five slots left in the free program.

Meanwhile, younger children in grades first- through fourth-grade are invited to a special program in the Faxon Branch's community room, though registration for that program is maxed out as of Monday and no slots are available.

This program is at 4 p.m. at the Faxon Branch, which is located at 1073 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
