Bye was re-appointed by Lamont to continue leading the state Office of Early Childhood.

WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — A well-known West Hartford resident was, again, appointed to her post Thursday.
Beth Bye, who served several terms in the state House and state Senate, was among 22 officials appointed by Gov. Ned Lamont to various roles as commissioners and agency heads.
Bye, who was a state representative from 2007-11 and state senator from 2011-19, was re-appointed as head of the state Office of Early Childhood.

“We have assembled a dynamic, diverse, and dedicated team of professionals who are committed to implementing the best and most effective policies on behalf of the people of Connecticut, and I am honored to renominate each of them to these roles,” Lamont said.
Lamont is set to receive the oath of office for his second term during a ceremony that will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at the William A. O’Neill State Armory in Hartford.
At that time, the re-nomination of these commissioners and agency heads will be forwarded to the General Assembly for consideration, which is all but assured given the political makeup of the legislature.
