Large Tree Falls and Leads to Road Closure In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — RT44 is closed in both directions due to a large tree that is blocking all four lanes in the area of 2865 Albany Ave. The tree, which fell naturally, has also compromised power lines. The closure on the West Hartford side is at the intersection of Mountain Road. The State DOT and Eversource are currently working to remedy the situation. There is currently no time estimate for when the road will reopen.
