LeadingAge Connecticut recently honored Duncaster’s Carol Ann McCormick with its Media Award. McCormick was recognized for the creation and execution of the 60 Over 60 Awards which showcased those over age 60 throughout Connecticut who make a difference in the state. The LeadingAge Connecticut Media Award recognizes excellence in reporting or presenting of media events which positively affect older adults.
McCormick, who is Duncaster’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, was honored at the LeadingAge Connecticut’s Annual Meeting at the Aqua Turf Club. Their annual awards ceremony recognizes organizations and individuals that embody excellence in nonprofit aging services.
“We are pleased that LeadingAge Connecticut awarded this first-ever effort to showcase those over age 60 who make Connecticut a great place to live,” says Michael O’Brien, Duncaster’s President and CEO.“ Since we introduced these awards we have received so many comments about how innovative 60 Over 60 was. Having LeadingAge Connecticut honor the program is the icing on the cake.”
