Living with Intention Program Focuses on Forgiveness

Jewish Federation Welcomes Kara Sundlun on May 23

Local women will be inspired by a personal story of forgiveness at Living with Intention 2018, presented by Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford’s Women of Impact on Wednesday evening, May 23, 2018, at the Mark Twain House, 385 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Keynote speaker Kara Sundlun, an Emmy Award-winning news anchor and talk show host at WFSB-TV, will discuss her journey to reconnect with her father, former Rhode Island Governor Bruce Sundlun, and share what she has learned about reconciliation, reconnection and “owning your story.”

This is the fourth year that Federation has offered Living with Intention, which inspires women to live a more meaningful life. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a community dinner, which will include remarks by Jeanette Koll, Director of Resource Development at Beit Uri Village in Afula, Israel. Ms. Koll will share her experiences raising a son with special needs and discuss how Israel is including people with disabilities. Dessert follows at 7:00 p.m. and the program with Kara Sundlun begins at 7:30 p.m.

All women are welcome to attend Living with Intention. The couvert is $60 for dinner, dessert and the program, or $18 for dessert and the program. RSVP to Jill Nulsen at jnulsen@jewishhartford.org or 860.727.6119 or register online at bit.ly/LWI2018register.
