Major Staff Milestones, Promotions at West Hartford FD
The West Hartford Fire Department has had several staffing promotions/achievements this month.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Fire Department has had myriad staff changes, with new firefighters and new roles for existing ones being announced at the end of this year.
West Hartford Firefighters Local 1241 has been regularly making several announcement in recent days.

• Benjamin Coker was promoted to captain.
• Branden Bohan was promoted to captain.

• Probationary firefighter paramedic Casey Farrell completed the precepting process and achieved medical control through Hartford Hospital earlier this fall.
• Firefighter paramedic Shelby Mitchell completed the precepting process and achieved medical control through Hartford Hospital earlier this year.
• Probationary firefighter paramedics Joey Dimattia and Zachary Gauthier graduated from the Connecticut Fire Academy’s Recruit Firefighter Program.
These latest announcements come after the WHFD's firefighter union announced two new deputy chief promotions — Russell Duffy and Adam Pacheco.
