Man Charged In West Hartford Stabbing: WHPD
The incident late Saturday night critically injured an adult male.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local man is in custody in connection with the stabbing of a man in West Hartford late Saturday night that has the victim fighting for his life.
The West Hartford Police Department said Sunday it has charged Lewis Martinez-Conde, 33, of West Hartford, with first-degree assault; second-degree threatening; and second-degree reckless endangerment.
He is being held on $1 million bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court, police said.

According to the WHPD, at about 11:51 p.m. Saturday, officers were notified that a stabbing victim had been taken via private vehicle to an area hospital.
West Hartford police responded to the hospital and determined the stabbing happened near 153 Reed Ave. in West Hartford, police said.

According to police, an adult male "sustained life-threatening injuries" and was hospitalized.
Patrol officers, detectives, and members of the WHPD's "Community Support Unit" began investigating, identifying a suspect in connection with the attack.
"WHPD personnel worked tirelessly and, eventually, took the suspect into custody without incident shortly after 11 a.m. on (Sunday)," police said in a statement, adding the unidentified victim was in critical condition.
The West Hartford Police Department also thanked members of the Hartford, Cromwell, and East Hartford police departments for their assistance with the case.
