UPDATE: Man Smashes Woman's Car with Metal Object After Being Splashed with Water in West Hartford: Police

Police said a man allegedly followed a woman and exploded in rage after her car splashed him with water.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - A man is accused of exploding in a fit of rage and damaging a woman’s car Wednesday after the woman was able to snap photos of him allegedly hitting the vehicle.

The suspect is charged with striking the victim’s car with a crowbar or similar metal object after her car splashed water on him while passing through snow and ice.

Police said the suspect quickly jumped in his car and followed the victim, pulling in front of her car on New Park Avenue and blocking her path. He then exited his car, grabbed a crowbar from his trunk and struck the victim’s car several times.

The suspect was screaming obscenities at the complainant during the incident, before fleeing south on New Park Avenue. Neither of the two women in the car were injured, and they were able to take pictures of the suspect on a cell phone.

Police said the woman's car had damage to the hood, her driver's side head light was cracked and her rear passenger side tail light was also cracked.

Police said the suspect has been identified and was driving a blue 2006 Volvo S60 Sedan. The incident is still under investigation.
