Mechanic Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car: West Hartford PD
Police say that a vehicle had struck or fallen onto the mechanic, who was taken to the hospital.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Emergency crews responded to Midas Auto in West Hartford Thursday afternoon after a mechanic was injured by a vehicle, according to police. The West Hartford Police and Fire departments responded to Midas, located at 918 New Britain Avenue, at about 12:30 p.m. on the report that a mechanic had suffered an unknown injury and was on the floor, according to Lt. Michael Perruccio.
Perruccio said the call was quickly updated to include that a vehicle had “struck or fallen onto the mechanic.”
“Upon arrival, first responders treated the victim who had sustained visible injuries to his back,” Perruccio said in a press release. “The victim was provided initial aid and then transported to Hartford Hospital by ambulance for further treatment/evaluation. The victim was conscious and speaking when transported.
