Motorcyclist Badly Hurt In West Hartford Crash: Police
The rider suffered 'life-threatening' injuries, according to the West Hartford Police Department.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A motorcyclist is fighting for his or her life Wednesday after a serious collision with a car Tuesday night at a local intersection.
According to the West Hartford Police Department, units were called to the intersection of South Main and Elmfield streets at about 9:13 p.m. for a serious crash between a motorcycle and a car.
Police said responders provided immediate aid to the motorcycle operator, who was rushed to a nearby hospital.

"At this time, it is believed that the operator of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision," wrote the West Hartford PD in a release late Tuesday night.
The car remained on the scene and police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation.

The West Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating
this incident.
As a result of the crash and subsequent probe, the intersection of South Main Street and Elmfield
Street was closed to traffic in all directions.
Southbound traffic on South Main Street was diverted onto New Britain Avenue and northbound traffic on South Main Street was diverted onto Hall Street.
