Connecticut Weather Forecast: More Snow Friday Night, Sunday and Maybe Next Week
We had a lot of snow Thursday, more snow expected tonight, and now more stormy weather is in the forecast for Sunday. Here's the latest.

Snow is seemingly everywhere in Connecticut's forecast. We had a bunch of it yesterday, a foot to be precise, and we're going to see some more tonight and even more on Sunday it now appears. In an updated forecast Friday afternoon, the state's leading meteorologists are in agreement that a storm on Sunday appears more likely to occur and that means a stormy second half of the weekend for us.
NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote Friday afternoon, "Here we go again ... another winter storm Sunday. This is a really hard forecast - expect some changes! The snow or mix will begin 7-10 a.m. on Sunday and then continue through the evening. Small changes in temperature will mean big changes in snowfall and sleet totals," Hanrahan wrote.
And this is in addition to the 1-3 inches of snow we'll be receiving in Connecticut tonight and early Saturday, Hanrahan said. There may also be a mid-week snowstorm brewing too, Hanrahan notes.

"Next week's possible storm is looking extremely interesting. New European model shows a major New England snowstorm. Stay tuned - this is going to be a crazy next 5 or 6 days," Hanrahan wrote.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on social media Friday afternoon "My concern for snow on Sunday is going up!"

AT WFSB 3 TV, Meteorologists Mark Dixon and Scot Haney said during Thursday's storm blizzard conditions were reported in Bridgeport, Waterbury, New Haven, Chester and Groton.
For Friday night's snow, the WFSB 3 TV weather teams says snow begins between 7 and 9 p.m. and could accumulate 2-5 inches statewide. The snow ends by 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, Dixon and Haney say the precipitation begins around mid-morning and the question is when will it change to a mix and then plain rain, and it could end Sunday evening as snow once again.
