Next 'Cooks & Books' at West Hartford Library to Feature Pastry Chef
Beth Bolton, owner of A Little Something Bakery, will discuss her favorite cookbook and her own business at the next installment of the monthly series.
The third installment of the West Hartford Library's popular new "Cooks & Books" series scheduled for Monday, will feature local business owner and pastry chef Beth Bolton of Park Road's A Little Something Bakery.
Bolton will reveal her favorite cookbook at the beginning of the event, and will be interviewed by WHC-TV personality Sara Connor of "Life and Style with Sara." She will also answer questions from the audience. The show will also be broadcast on WHC-TV and will be available for viewing on the Internet.
"The program has been very well-received," said Sandy DiCicco of the West Hartford Library.

"People really love seeing the chefs on-on-one. It's very low key and they have been great to work with," DiCicco said.
The series kicked off in September, with the first session featuring Chef Billy Grant (Grant's, Restaurant Bricco) who chose The Italian Farmer's Table by Matthew Scialabba & Melissa Pellegrino. In October, Bill Rizzuto of Rizzuto's spoke about Cooking with Italian Grandmothers by Jessica Theroux.

Dorjan Puka, the chef from Treva, was to have appeared in November but had to cancel due to a family emergency. DiCicco did not have any information about rescheduling.
Audience members are invited to speak with the chefs about their chosen cookbook, their business, how they got into the profession, or anything else that interests them. "There are no silly questions," DiCicco said.
There are already a good number of people registered for the Dec. 10 session which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room, 20 S. Main Street, West Hartford. There is no charge for the program, but those wishing to attend should call 860-561-6990 during library hours. Callers can register themselves as well as one guest.
DiCicco said that Bolton plans to bring samples from her featured cookbook as well as coupons for A Little Something Bakery.
Future programs in the series include Chris Prosperi of Simsbury's Metro Bis in January, and Claire Crisculo from vegetarian restaurant Clarie’s Corner Copia in New Haven in February.
