West Hartford – Leon Tolchinsky has landed what he thinks is a terrific teaching job in an idyllic Russian village. When he arrives he finds people sweeping dust from the stoops back into their houses and people milking upside down to get more cream. The town has been cursed with Chronic Stupidity for 200 years and it is up to Leon to break the curse. But no one tells him that if he stays over 24 hours and fails to break the curse, he too becomes Stupid. Will Leon fall victim to the curse? Find out in Northwest Catholic High School’s Dramateurs’ production of “Fools” by Neil Simon, running from December 6 through December 8.
The comedy features Ryan DeFranzo ’14 as Leon Tolchinsky, Olivia Fenton ’15 as Lenya Zubritsky, Ryan Sands ’15 as Dr. Zubritsky, Mary Elizabeth Buckley ’15 as Sophia Zubritsky, Ryan DelMonaco ’14 as Gregor Yousekevitch, Charles Faselle ’15 as Snetsky the Sheep Loser, Anthony Lenczewski ’16 as Slovich, Avery Hatch ’16 as Mishkin, Jacquelyn Collas ’16 as Yenchna and Matthew Marshall ’15 as the Magistrate. The production is directed by Sara Avery.
Shows are at 7:30pm on December 6 and December 7. The December 8 show begins at 2:00pm. All shows are in the Alice Mortensen Theater at Northwest Catholic. Tickets are $10.
