Celebrate a Movie Release with Some Authentic Italian Cuisine

The release of 300: Rise of an Empire has inspired us to host this great dinner.

By Peppercorn's Grill

Ready to eat like a Spartan king or queen?

On Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m., five incredible courses will be served at Peppercorn's Grill, and all five courses will be paired with wines from I Castelli Romani.

For $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity), and with five wine pairings, you won’t find a better price anywhere in New England. Madness? This is SPARTA!

What better way to celebrate great Italian cuisine and have some fun with the release of 300: Rise of an Empire?

1st Course
Antipasto to be served with artisanal charcuteri and a variety of homemade tastings including marinated vegetables, stuffed pepperdew, crostini, “crudo,” carpacci, olives, and more.

2nd Course
Housemade buffalo ricotta & porcini filled ravioli in a “Spartan” sauce of homemade sausage, tomato, parmigiano reggiano, and “gallinacci” mushroom garnish.

3rd Course
Zuppa di pesce – a seafood stew of imported calamari, mussels, little neck clams, and shrimp in a rich seafood tomato broth with a garlic and pepperoncino garnished with a crisp crostino.

4th Course
Vitello preperado in due modi – a pillow of veal stuff with vegetables in a veal demi glace and “Spartacus” drunken veal short rib with a natural reduction and tiny vegetables, served with an arugula pomegranate salad.

5th Course
