Person Found Dead In Car In West Hartford: Police

The person was found on Saturday night and police are investigating.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating after a person was found dead in a car in the Brace Road municipal parking lot on Saturday evening. At about 5:50 p.m. on April 7, police responded to the municipal lot, located at 23 Brace Road, on the report of a person sleeping in a vehicle.

Responding officers noticed that the person was not breathing and broke a window to enter the vehicle. The person inside was determined to be deceased, according to Lt. Eric Rocheleau.

Rocheleau said there was no obvious cause of death and the incident is under investigation by the West Hartford Police Department’s Detective Division. Positive Identification and family notifications are underway, according to Rocheleau.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the body. Rocheleau said the area has re-opened and it is believed that there is no danger to the public.
