Where can high school seniors celebrate their graduation in memorable, safe and fun environment? Planning, Fundraising and Decorating are all in full swing for the elaborate Safe Grad event that will create lasting memories for the Conard High School seniors.

Safe Grad 2018 is an all-night, substance-free party for all graduating seniors, at no cost to them. The school front halls, cafeteria and gym will be transformed into a fantasy land following the secret theme not revealed until the students enter the party! Parents and donors are invited to walk through the spectacular transformation earlier in the day. The event is traditionally attended by over 90% of seniors and will include fantastic entertainment, food, contests and prizes all tied into the year’s theme.

We are so happy to have the West Hartford families, businesses and community support our graduates. Safe Grad costs approximately $35,000 for the night. If you would like to help us with the event in any way, tax-deductible donations can online at our website: http://conardsafegrad.wixsite.com/conardsafegrad.

We have thus far partnered with Faddys donut truck, BEARS BBQ, Hog River Brewing, Dine-in CT, AC Petersens to bring fun to the community and funds to Safe Grad! The next FUNdraising event will not to miss! Professional magician and CT native, Kayla Drescher, will be bringing her stage show from LA to West Hartford for one exclusive performance! Tickets are available at https://conardsafegrad2018.ticketleap.com/the-magic-of-kayla-drescher. Moe’s will be hosting a festive Safe Grad night April 25th as well.

Two of our most visible efforts are the Flocking and Safe Grad Sign fundraisers, which begin appearing throughout town every spring. The tradition of "flocking," is when someone is honored with a flock of flamingos mysteriously appearing on the front lawn, volunteers enjoy sneaking around in the dark and putting them up and flamingos appear overnight in yards throughout town every spring.

Once more this year, the popular pink flamingos will be seen around town to support Project Graduation. Please consider sending a flock of our beautiful pink birds to one or more of your friends.
