Popular Coffee Roaster Sets Up New Shop In West Hartford
The Middletown-based chain is inspired by the 1980s punk and skateboarding scene.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local coffee place that once called the West Hartford Gastropark home has now moved to a permanent, fixed location in town.
Earlier this week, Perkatory Coffee Roasters officially cut the ribbon on its new location at 625 New Park Ave., with town officials — including West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor — joined by members of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
According to the WeHa Chamber, Perfakatory's main site and headquarters is in Middletown and it specializes in "producing hand-crafted artisan roasted coffee."

The inspiration for the coffee shop's logo and interior design is 1980s punk rock and skateboarding, the scene of which the shop's owners were a part of back in the day, according to the chamber.
As for the menu, it features a wide variety of single-source coffees and blends, both for drinking there, taking a coffee to go and, even, taking home fresh-roasted beans.

There are also the traditional food options that accompany coffee, such as pastries and bagels.
Perkatory made the announcement of its move Feb. 20, with the soft opening at the new location being Feb. 27.
The ribbon-cutting was Monday, March 6.
"We are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of The Gastro Park but having grown out of that space we decided to relocate," wrote the owners, Johanna and Joe Perazella, via Facebook.
West Hartford's freestanding location is the local chain's fourth, with Middletown, Southington and Branford also calling Perkatory home.
