Pride Flag Ceremony Monday Moved To West Hartford Town Hall: UPDATE

The flag-raising event is one of several Pride Month events planned in West Hartford throughout June.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Pride Month is June and it is a month of several activities celebrating the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community in West Hartford.

On Monday, June 3, local leaders and the local, grassroots West Hartford Pride organization will host a Pride Flag raising ceremony at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 South Main St., West Hartford, at 6:30 p.m.

It was originally slated for Unity Green on South Main Street, but it was moved to town hall Monday afternoon.

Pride Month events started Sunday, June 2, with a special bicycle ride event from BiCi Co. to the GastroPark on New Park Avenue.

However, The Pride Flag ceremony is the second of many Pride events taking place in town all month.

Thursday, June 6: A Pride Month Kick Off Party at the GastroPark, 637 New Park Ave., at 5 p.m.

Friday, June 14: 'Laugh With Pride' at New Park Brewing, 485 New Park Ave., at 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 20: A special event on LGBTQ+ and religion, Congregation Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Ave. at 7 p.m.

Friday, June 21: Pizza and Pride, Savoy Pizzeria, 32 LaSalle Road, at 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 22: Pride Day Kick Off, West Hartford Town Hall steps, 50 S. Main St., at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, June 22: Pride Festival, West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St., at noon.

Saturday, June 22: West Hartford Pride After Party, New Park Brewing, 498 Parke Ave., at 7:30 p.m.
