Registration Now Open for Miracle League Baseball in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Registration is now open for the 2017 season of Miracle Leauge baseball in West Hartford.

Miracle League baseball is designed for boys & girls ages 4-21 who have special needs or developmental delays of any kind, according to a release. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at the Miracle League field in West Hartford.

The field is fully accessible to all children including those who use wheelchairs or adaptive mobility devices. The surface is rubberized and there are no raised obstacles on the field.

Players from any part of the state or beyond are welcome. Players are assigned to teams in one of our two age divisions, 4-10 years old and 11 - 21 years old.

Games are non-competitive and we focus only on the sense of accomplishment of each player. Volunteer “Buddies” are assigned to assist each player on the field to assist them as much or as little as needed.

The season runs from April 23 to June 11. The registration fee is $35, which includes the players jerseys and caps.

The goal of the Miracle League of CT is to remove all barriers that prevent children with special needs from

participating in recreational, educational and cultural activities. If one of those barriers is a financial one,
please email the league at miracleleaguect@comcast.net to request a fee waiver for any programs.

The league will do its best to accommodate requests, which will be kept strictly confidential.

The Miracle League of CT provides opportunities for Connecticut’s children with physical and cognitive challenges to participate in recreational, educational and cultural activities in an accessible, nurturing and noncompetitive environment where families can come together to cultivate new friendships and experience the joy of play.
