Registration Under Way for Elmwood Community Center Summer Camps

Channel the abundant energy of your children into one of the fun-tastic Summer camp programs offered at Elmwood Community Center. Registration is now open for an exciting and rewarding summer experience of recreation, art and education in one of our half-day camps.

Three hours of exciting and extraordinary fun is in store for 4-7 year olds at Little Critters Day Camp. Our week-long Monday through Fridaycamp sessions run from June 22 through August 7 and each week has a themed focus including “Games”, “Circus Fun” and “Superheroes & Princesses.” Campers will also enjoy nature walks, crafts and various games to stimulate their interest and creativity.

Little People’s Summer Playhouse is a series of week-long mini-theater workshops filled with imagination, dramatic play, fantasy and fun for ages 3-6 with special themes including Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Beauty, Brave, Little Mermaid, Madagascar and Frozen. Running June 22 through August 14, most sessions have 3 camp days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with activities including face painting, music, movement and crafts.

Elmwood Community Center is an active year-round multi-purpose facility for the Leisure Services Division of the town of West Hartford. Celebrating its 36th year of operation, ECC offers hundreds of leisure activities, instructional programs and special events, staffed by highly qualified instructors and experts in the fields of education, recreation and fitness. Elmwood Community Center is also a rental facility with a variety of specialized options including classrooms, meeting rooms and two kitchens, available to suit the needs of individuals, businesses and community organizations both large and small.
