Residents' Photos Sought For West Hartford Spring Banner Contest
Organizers are asking residents to submit photos that reflect what brings them joy and supports their health.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Public Library, West Hartford Senior Centers, and West Hartford Municipal Parking are inviting residents to take part in a Spring Banner Contest celebrating life in town.
The theme of the contest is “Aging and Growing Well in West Hartford.”
Organizers are asking residents to submit photos that reflect what brings them joy, supports their health, or “makes you feel alive as you age.”

Selected images will be displayed on light poles along South Main Street for the community to view.
The contest is open to West Hartford residents of all ages, with a limit of one entry per person.

Submissions will be accepted through March 30. High-resolution, portrait-oriented photos are preferred.
Entries must be emailed to pp@westhartfordct.gov and include the participant’s photo — or Dropbox file name — along with their first and last name and a contact phone number. Files too large to email can be uploaded at bit.ly/WHPL-dropbox.
Winners will be notified by April 11, 2026.
Organizers said that by entering the contest, participants grant permission for the library and senior centers to use submitted photos in publicity materials.
