Saint Brigid students rank again!

Under the direction of Connecticut Future Musicians (CFM) band teacher, Cathi Peters, two Saint Brigid School (SBS) students, Abbey Obeng and Dylan Errico, ranked in the CFM Symphonic All-State Band. For the past 28 years, the CTFutureMusicians Organization has provided quality music education for private elementary and junior-high school students throughout Connecticut.

Obeng, an eighth-grade SBS student, achieved her dream of qualifying (percussion drums) for the CFM Symphonic All-State Band; the highest ranked band group.

Not to be outdone, seventh-grade SBS student, Errico, achieved the status of third chair flute (ranking third overall out of 27 students who auditioned) in the concert band.

Both students auditioned in front of an esteemed panel of judges and competed against musicians from all over Connecticut. As a result of their success, they will now perform at the regional concert on Saturday March 22, 2014 at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU).
