The West Hartford 6th Grade travel basketball team reeled off six straight games the past few weeks, bringing its league record to 8-2 and overall record to 18-4. Recaps of recent games:
WH 68, South Windsor 35. January 11, 2014. Dan Hussey led the Cager attack with 18 points in a 68-35 league win over South Windsor. Hussey was on fire throughout, connecting on six 3-pointers, while hot hands Jack Krugman (12 PTS), Jaden DiMauro (9 PTS) Jack Tousignant (9 PTS) secured the victory for West Hartford.
WH 63, Bristol 40. January 12, 2014. Gabe Salomons and Ethan Lavelley led all Cagers in scoring with 11 points each in a 63-40 league win over Bristol. Jack Tousignant added 10 points and 6 assists, while James Travers (11 REB), Ethan Pinkes (8 REB) and Jack Krugman (9 REB, 3 AST) controlled the boards and led the defensive effort to seal the victory.

West Hartford 30, Hartford 21. January 18, 2014. In a running-clock game in Hartford, Jaden DiMauron (9 PTS) scored inside and out in leading the Cagers to victory, 30-21. Ethan Pinkes (6 PTS, 7 REB) and George Andrews (4 PTS, 2 AST) had solid games for the Cagers in this low scoring contest.
West Hartford v. Plainville. January 19, 2014, West Hartford. The Cagers were led on both ends by forward Jaden Dimauro, who scored 10 points and secured 10 rebounds. Other leading scorers for West Hartford were Will Fox (13 PTS), Ethan Lavalley (8 PTS) and James Travers (8 PTS) in the 63-12 win.

West Hartford 26, Rocky Hill 23. January 26, 2014. In an out of conference game, West Hartford prevailed in overtime over Rocky Hill, 26-22. Tyler Marino's (6 PTS) deep three-point basket to begin overtime proved to be the game winner for the Cagers, who extended their winning streak to 6. Will Fox, James Travers and Dan Hussey scored 4 points each. Ethan Pinkes (8 REB) and Gabe Salomons (7 REB) kept Rocky Hill's front line in check with a relentless defensive effort throughout the game. Will Fox, James Travers and Dan Hussey added 4 points each for the West Hartford.
