Some Resources for Choosing Childcare

One of the most stressful aspects of being a parent is choosing childcare. There are so many options, all of which have their benefits and drawbacks.  Stay-at-home or Working?  Live-in or Live-out? In-home or Daycare? To schlep or not to schelp? Maybe Grandma can help?

Choosing the right childcare option for your family is an intensely personal decision and not something that can be explained in one blog post. But here are come resources that can help you begin to figure out the best options for you:

In my personal experience I have tried the grandma option, live-out care, home-based daycare and au pair care.  Au pair care worked the best for me (full disclosure - because of my great experiences, I am now a local childcare consultant for Cultural Care Au Pair), but I'd love to hear from other Patch readers about their experiences with choosing childcare.
