The Advocacy Offices of Faith Filiault (Advocate with Faith) to host only event of its kind in Fairfield County this October
Faith Filiault, a private educational advocate will present the area’s only Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy conference, taking place October 23, 2014.

The all-day event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 70 Ridgefield Rd. Wilton (Wilton Cong. Church) with a special focus on ADHD, Behavioral Challenges, Mental Health Challenges, Dyslexia, Other Health Impairments and Life Threatening Food Allergies. Pete Wright is a top special education attorney who represents children with special educational needs.
Pete represented Shannon Carter before the U. S. Supreme Court in Florence County School District Four v. Shannon Carter, 510 U.S. 7 (1993) - the Court issued a unanimous decision on Shannon’s behalf.

Pete is the co-author of Wrightslaw: Special Education Law (1999), Wrightslaw: No Child Left Behind (2003), Wrightslaw: IDEA 2004, (2005) and Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Edition (2001, 2005) and Tests and Measurements (2014).
He appeared as the parent’s attorney in the award-winning DVD video, Surviving Due Process: When Parents and the School Board Disagree - Stephen Jeffers v. School Board (2004).
Event registration is $175 for parents and $225 for professionals and includes the Wrightslaw books - Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 2nd Edition, Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Edition, and Wrightslaw: All About IEPs.
Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, advocates, educators, attorneys, and health care providers who represent children with disabilities. The Wilton conference offers a rare opportunity to learn about Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy from speaker, attorney and program founder Pete Wright.
