UHart Student Accused Of Making Threats On Campus: Police
The student, who reportedly said he was joking, has been identified as an 18-year-old from Virginia.

WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — A student has been banned from the University of Hartford campus after being charged overnight in connection with concerning social media threats.
WFSB Channel 3 reports the student charged as being Tenuun Enkhbat, 18, of Virginia.
The TV station reports that the posts were make to Yik Yak, a social media app, and the student reportedly told police he was joking.

But school officials say such jokes are not only inappropriate, but against the law.
UHart Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Molly Polk said Monday morning there is no longer a threat to the UHart campus and the matter was resolved overnight.

"Last night, the university's Department of Public Safety was made aware of anonymous and concerning posts to social media," Polk wrote in a written statement on behalf of UHart.
"Working in partnership with local police, the account information was determined and a student was identified. The student was arrested without incident last night and has been banned from campus pending conduct proceedings."
Polk said the university was working with Hartford police in investigating the matter.
She said UHart is actually located in West Hartford, Hartford and Bloomfield, with this incident falling under the HPD's jurisdiction.
Polk thanked the work of law enforcers in helping to rectify the situation.
"We take these actions and concerns seriously and we are appreciative of the assistance and response from local law enforcement," she said.
