Manchester and State Police assisted in the pursuit and Anderson’s vehicle became disabled. Anderson approached the state trooper and officers with a weapon displayed in his hand, according to State Police Spokesman Trooper First Class Kelly Grant.
A Manchester police officer discharged his Taser but Anderson continued to advance on the officers with the weapon, police said.
Anderson was then shot and first aid was immediately rendered and he was taken to Hartford Hospital where he later died.
