Four suspects were arrested thanks to an alert resident who reported the burglaries as they were happening, police said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Four juveniles have been arrested after police say they were caught burglarizing vehicles during the overnight hours on Friday. Police responded to the area of Concord Street around 2 a.m. on June 29 after a resident reported seeing three suspects burglarizing vehicles, according to Capt. Michael Perruccio.
Perruccio said officers quickly established a perimeter and were able to locate and arrest four juvenile suspects.
As of Friday morning, Perruccio said five vehicles were burglarized in that area and the vast majority were left unlocked.

The four juveniles, who Perruccio said were all from out of town, were each charged with interfering with a police officer, third-degree criminal trespass, third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.
“Another great example of citizens being vigilant, excellent work by our officers, and a reminder to lock car doors,” Perruccio said in an email.
