Teens Sought For West Hartford Youth Activist Group

Applications are being collected through May 31 for the 2024-25 West Hartford Mayor's Youth Council session.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local youths looking to make a sincere difference in the community have an easy avenue to achieve that goal, courtesy of the West Hartford Mayor's Youth Council.

Through May 31, the town is seeking young applicants for the organization, which is aimed at students "interested in civic engagement, community service and/or activism."

The 2024-25 West Hartford Mayor's Youth Council meets twice a month from September to May to plan and execute projects improving the quality of life of West Hartford's youth.

It is also a great means for students in grades 9-12 to gain experience in community service, especially if they are eyeing careers in public service.
