These Connecticut Universities Are Among The Best In The World

U.S. News & World Report ranked the best universities in the world. See which Connecticut schools made the list.

U.S. News & World Report released a new set of rankings designating the best global universities, and the United States leads the way with the four top higher education institutions in the world. It comes as no surprise that several of those schools are right here in Connecticut; one, Yale, ranks No. 10.

Also on the list are UConn, in the No. 313 slot, and Fairfield University.

The rankings were determined based on the evaluation of 1,250 universities across 74 countries. American universities occupy 221 spots. U.S. News first created a pool of universities using various sources, including a global reputation survey. The rankings were then calculated using 13 indicators and weights that U.S. News chose to measure global research performance. (You can see the full methodology here.)
