WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford resident and U.S. Army Sergeant Bobby Ortiz was honored by the New England Revolution at Sunday’s match at Gillette Stadium for serving as a member of the United States Army for more than a decade through many combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Revs honored Ortiz during a pre-game ceremony and he had a sideline view of the Revs pregame warmups and enjoyed the game from the Putnam Club.

During every season, the New England Revolution honors local first responders, members of the armed forces or individuals making a difference in the community as part of their Hero of the Match program.
